As part of the rail market research in Indonesia, the 3HK delegation, headed by Marian Skrzypiec – currently the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia in Krakow – at the international RAILWAYTECH fair, held on March 20- March 2019 in Dkarta in the capital of Indonesia. Organized fairs are aimed at the railway industry in Indonesia, which in turn will contribute to the development of transport and economy throughout the country.
The RailwayTech Indonesia 2019 exhibition was combined with Transport and Logistics Indonesia 2019 and INAPA 2019. Year by year, the fair is becoming more and more popular – it attracts over twenty thousand participants from 41 countries on average, and the exhibition pavilion is filled with over a thousand companies.
The latest technologies, equipment and services for Indonesia and the regional railway industry were presented during the railway fair. The exhibition is a sourcing platform for local and international daily car suppliers, offering the latest innovations and services in the field of railway technology and equipment, railway infrastructure technology and body interiors for participants from all over the world.
RailwayTech Indonesia 2019 was an ideal opportunity and time to meet railway operators and contractors, as well as to establish contacts with leading specialists in the railway industry.
The visit to Indonesia also assumed a local vision in terms of rail transport. The Polish delegation visited the train stations in Jakarta and traveled by train from Juanda station to Sawah Besar.
The stay in Jakarta and participation in such a prestigious event is connected with the current position of Honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia in Krakow by Marian Skrzypec. The newly created consulate is to contribute to the tightening of cooperation between Poland and Indonesia in the economic, commercial and industrial dimensions. Trade between Poland and Indonesia, for example, in 2018 remained at the following level: exports amounted to USD 153.7 million, while imports amounted to USD 871.8 million. The Honorary Consulate of Indonesia in Krakow sees the possibility of increasing this turnover, which may be due to the constant cooperation of Polish and Indonesian companies in the railway industry.
